ROME: Paulo Dybala scored one goal and set up another as AS Roma rode to a late 3-1 win at home against Udinese in Serie A on Sunday.
Iran striker Sardar Azmoun continues to be a valuable resource for Roma despite his limited playing time while Roma boss Jose Mourinho praised the Iranian attacker in his post-match comments.
“Azmoun is the kind of player that I love, but he still lacks a little something to be my type of player in the defensive and transition phase. Although it must be said that he has crazy quality and can improve,” said Mourinho.
“It’s a shame that Kristensen and Azmoun can’t play in the Europa League, because in these matches you can also try different things and experiment with rotations. There isn’t much space for Azmoun to play as a starter when you have Dybala and Lukaku, it’s tough for him because he deserves more playing time.”
Roma moved to fifth in the table with 21 points, three points behind Napoli in fourth. Udinese are 16th.
