DOHA (Qatar): Al Duhail coach Sabri Lamouchi said victory against Qatar Sports Club tomorrow will brighten his team’s chances in the Qatar Stars League.
“We will be playing our next match against Qatar SC with an aim of collecting three points. We have to be the attacking side during this match because the Qatar SC team is good at moving from defence to attack at high speed. We have to stay focused because if we lose focus, we may have to pay a heavy price.
“We will look for a victory to compensate for the loss against Al Sadd last week. We know that a difficult match awaits us against Qatar SC. They have high potential and will play against us strongly in order to compensate for their loss against Al Rayyan. Therefore, we have to be fully focused on the field to achieve the desired result.
“Striker Michael Olunga played his first match against Al Sadd and did not show his known scoring power, but he will add value to the team as he was the top scorer in the Japanese League. He is trying to adapt with his new colleagues,” said Lamouchi.
Al Duhail player Abdullah Al Ahraq said, “The team must regain its top level and stay focused as it faces fourth-placed Qatar SC. They have succeeded in playing competitive football this season, but we have to be fully focused in order to win and compensate for the loss we suffered in our match against Al Sadd last week.
“Every match is different from the other and certainly we will not continue to talk about our loss against Al Sadd, but rather we will address all the errors that we committed as a team and prepare for our next match with confidence. We have new players trying to adapt to the situation and they will definitely prove to be a value addition to the team.”
